Dean slams Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki: Says “anti-Semite”

Posted by thebosun on July 27, 2006

Courtesy of CNSNews.com – The Republican National Committee calls it “incredibly troubling” that Howard Dean – the chairman of the Democratic Party – would call the Iraqi prime minister an “anti-Semite.”

The RNC accused Dean of trying to “score cheap political points by attacking the democratically elected prime minister of Iraq.” On Wednesday, the same day that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki addresses a joint session of Congress, Dean said, “The Iraqi prime minister is an anti-Semite,” adding that the U.S. doesn’t “need to spend $200 and $300 and $500 billion bringing democracy to Iraq to turn it over to people who believe that Israel doesn’t have a right to defend itself and who refuse to condemn Hizballah.”

Senate Democrats have also criticized Maliki and questioned his ability to bring stability to the Middle East.

Bosun’s comment: As usual, the Democrats are on the wrong side of history.  It appears to me that the Democrats hate Iraq, the Iraqi people and disrespect the Iraqi government.  How are we ever going to satisfy the political pundits of the Howard Dean Party?
