Muslims Leaders Warn Pope ‘Survival of World’ at Stake

Thursday, October 11, 2007

The “survival of the world” is at stake if Muslims and Christians do not make peace with each other, leaders of the Muslim world will warn the Pope and other Christian leaders today.

In an unprecedented open letter signed by 138 leading scholars from every sect of Islam, the Muslims plead with Christian leaders “to come together with us on the common essentials of our two religions” and spell out the similarities between passages of the Bible and the Koran.

The scholars state: “As Muslims, we say to Christians that we are not against them and that Islam is not against them – so long as they do not wage war against Muslims on account of their religion, oppress them and drive them out of their homes.”

The phrasing has echoes of the New Testament passage: “He that is not with me is against me” – a passage used by President George Bush when addressing a joint session of Congress nine days after 9/11.

The Muslims call instead for the emphasis to be on the shared characteristics of world’s two largest faiths.

The letter, addressed to Pope Benedict XVI, to the Orthodox Church’s Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew 1 and all the other Orthodox Patriarchs and to the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams and the leaders of all other Protestant churches worldwide, will be rolled out around the world this morning in a series of press conferences beginning in Jordan.

It is supported by the Bishop of London, the Right Rev Richard Chartres, and promoted by Professor David Ford is Regius Professor of Divinity, and Fellow of Selwyn College, University of Cambridge. Professor Ford is also the Founding Director of the Cambridge Inter-Faith Program and led this year’s international inter-faith conference at Lancaster House in June on ‘Islam and Muslims in the World Today’.

Signatures include Shaykh Sevki Omarbasic, Grand Mufti of Croatia, Dr Abdul Hamid Othman, adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Dr Ali Ozak, head of the endowment for Islamic scientific studies in Istanbul, Turkey. They also include Shaykh Dr Nuh Ali Salman Al-Qudah, Grand Mufti of Jordan and Shaykh Dr Ikrima Said Sabri, former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.  For the complete article here is the link: Muslims Leaders Warn Pope ‘Survival of World’ at Stake

We are hearing these Muslim clerics saying that Islam means peace. But the word Islam means “submission” and a Muslim is one who is in submission to Allah. Their goal as stated in the Qur’an is to bring the entire world into submission to Allah and the Koran and have a global Islamic empire.

The Sahih Muslim Hadith, [Book 019, Number 4294] indicates that a Muslim da’wa is required before an all out onslaught with the infidel western enemies.

Last month we had Bin Laden issuing a warning (da’wa) to the infidels of America and the west to convert to Islam or perish, “The biggest and most irreversible error one can commit in this world is to die without surrendering oneself to Allah, namely, to die without embracing Islam……” Today we may be seeing 138 leading scholars from every sect of Islam pleading a reconciliation. I question the scholars real motives.

Is an attack imminent? Do these scholars know or suspect that something is up with Al-Qaeda or Amannamedjihad? Only the Islamists know for sure.

I say, beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Because the invitation for reconciliation was not extended to the Jews, I would be suspect and skeptical at this move by the scholars. It tends to confuse the issue and win the hearts and minds of the naive.

My message for the liberal crowd who is probably organizing the kumby ya sing alongs at this very moment, “You don’t know what you are up against.”

Be ever vigilant.

Muslims refuse to assimilate into Canadian Culture: Boycott Western Holidays

Mosque Orders Muslims: Boycott Western Holidays

TORONTO – A Toronto mosque is telling Muslims not to say “Happy Thanksgiving” or invite friends into their homes for turkey dinner on the holiday weekend.

The Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque says to “avoid participating” in dinners, parties or greetings on Thanksgiving because it is a kuffaar, or non-Muslim, celebration.

A two-part article on the mosque Web site says Muslims should also “stay completely away” from “Halloween trick-and treat nonsense,” Christmas, New Year’s, anniversaries, birthdays and Earth Day.

“How can we bring ourselves to congratulate or wish people well for their disobedience to Allah? Thus expressions such as:Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday, Happy New Year, etc, are completely out,” it says.  Source: Canada.Com National Post.

According to The Canadian Sentinel Blog, Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque previously was forced to apologize for declaring that saying “Merry Christmas” was equal to murder.

The mosque is once again up to its old tricks encouraging its members to reject Canadian culture and alienate itself from Western civilization. These 7th century clerics appear to be encouraging their mosque members to not assimilate into the host country (Canada) culture.

Link to Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque rules that discourage assimilation: ETIQUETTE AND RULINGS: EID

THE MUSLIMS ARE DISTINGUISHED BY THEIR FESTIVALS:

The Prophet’s words “Every nation has its festival, and this is your festival” indicate that these two Eids are exclusively for the Muslims, and that it is not permissible for Muslims to imitate the kuffaar and mushrikeen in anything that is a distinctive part of their celebrations, whether it be food, dress, bonfires or acts of worship.Muslim children should not be allowed to play on those kaafir festivals, or to put up decorations, or to join in with the kuffaar on those occasions. All kaafir or innovated festivals are haraam, such as Independence Day celebrations, anniversaries of revolutions, holidays celebrating trees or accessions to the throne, birthdays, Labour Day, the Nile festival, Shimm al-Naseem (Egyptian spring holiday), teachers’ day, and al-Mawlood al-Nabawi (Prophet’s Birthday). The Muslims have no festivals apart from Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adhaa, because of the hadeeth narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said:“The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madeenah and the people had two days when they would play and have fun. He said, ‘What are these two days?’ They said, ‘We used to play and have fun on these days during the Jaahiliyyah. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Allaah has given you something better than them, the day of Adhaa and the day of Fitr.’” (Sunan Abi Dawood, 1134)

These two Eids are among the signs or symbols of Allaah which we must celebrate and understand the aims and meanings behind them.

It is my opinion that this type of Islamist mindset promotes hatred, intolerance, and  xenophobia by the Muslims and islamophobia by the non-Muslims.  Assimilation is the key to success in a host country.

My immediate questions are:

  • Why do Muslim clerics at Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque hate the country they currently live in?
  • Why do they chose to isolate themselves from Canadian society?

Ex-Muslim ‘Apostates’ Organize in Europe

Posted by thebosun on September 13, 2007

Guess the radical muslim streets will erupt over this news.

(CNSNews.com) – An Iranian-born Dutch politician under fire from Muslims for his dissenting views on Islam on Tuesday officially launched an organization to support people who have renounced the religion.

According to leading Islamic schools of thought, apostasy is a crime, punishable by death in the case of a sane male who renounces his faith. Jami also is controversial for his strong public comments on Islam, including the view expressed last June that Mohammed, the Islamic prophet, was a “criminal.”

At Tuesday’s press conference, timed for the sixth anniversary of 9/11 and attended by leaders from the British and German organizations, Jami declared that Islam…”It’s a religion of submission … of its followers, submission of Christians, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, infidels, the whole world,”

Last month, he was attacked by three men, in an incident believed to be linked to his views and the new organization. Although Jami was not hurt in what his spokesman said was the third such incident, Dutch law enforcement agencies decided to provide additional security for him. ( About six percent of the Dutch population is Muslim.)  For the rest of the article: Ex-Muslim ‘Apostates’ Organize in Europe

Remembering September 11, 2001

Watch The Video

From a different view.

This home video of the 9/11 terror attack on the World Trade Center is from a 36th floor apartment near the North Tower. The events of 9/11 are familiar to all of us. Perhaps so much so that over time we have become desensitized to the actual events. What is absolutely chilling, is how the video captures the personal experience of the couple taking the video. It is their comments, telephone calls, shock and anguish that brings back a flood of emotions from that day. It was released last year on the 6th anniversary of 9/11.

Justice for Muslims Not Christians in Indonesia

Posted by thebosun on August 31, 2007

August 31, 2007

CBN News

CWN.com – CENTRAL SULAWESi, Indonesia – Religious violence has devastated the Indonesian territory of Central Sulawesi for more than a decade.

Christians and Muslims have attacked each other’s communities, and sometimes killed each other.

But critics say Muslims who are tried for such crimes are given lesser sentences than Christians.

CWN’s Asia correspondent, Lucille Talusan, looked into this seeming injustice.

Days before the sentencing of their brother, Edwin, Sustin and Neki Poima expressed great concern over his fate.

Edwin is one of 17 Christians arrested for the murder of two Muslims last September.

They allegedly took revenge for the deaths of three Catholics whom they believe were unjustly executed for murdering Muslims.

“We ask the government to make the sentence light,” said Edwin’s sister, Neki Poima. “Our parents are already old and they need Edwin to help our father on the farm.”

Sustin and Neki feared the worst: that their brother- like the three Catholics before him – would also be executed for his crime.

That’s because many Christians believe Indonesia’s justice system favors Muslims over Christians.

Muslims, they say, receive lighter sentences than Christians when they commit similar or more serious offenses.

One example of this biased treatment can be seen when looking further into the incident with the Catholics.

The three Catholics – Tibo, Riwu and Da Silva – whose roles in the 2000 Muslim massacre were never proven, received the death sentence.

The Muslim extremists who beheaded three Christian schoolgirls were only given jail terms of twenty years. The court said they were spared execution because they confessed to the crime and expressed remorse.

Another high-profile case shows the same preferential treatment.

Christians say Rinaldy Damanik, a pastor who promotes peace between warring Christians and Muslims, also experienced injustice at the hands of the courts.

He was sentenced to three years imprisonment in 2003 for a crime they say he did not commit. Damanik was convicted of illegally possessing ammunition.

In contrast, Muslim leader Jafar Umar Thalib was never indicted for his alleged crime.

He admitted having initiated the jihad in Maluku, where 5,000 Christians were killed in the year 2000.

In an exclusive interview with CBN News, the Islamic leader said he escaped imprisonment because he hadn’t broken any law.

“At that time, many Muslims were being killed by the separatist movement Republic of South Moluccas which was dominated by Christians,” Thalib told CBN. “I mobilized jihad against the RMS and not against Christians. The government was not doing anything, and so in Indonesian law, it was self-defense.

Rev. Rinaldy Damanik shared a drastically different view of the situation.

“It is really, really unfair. Jafar Thalib led jihad in Maluku, killing 5,000 people, and he never went to court,” Damanik said. “While me, I was sentenced for three years because they say I brought ammunition. Even if that was true, I don’t think it is fair for me to get three years in prison.”

Thalib disagrees with the notion that Muslims receive more favorable treatment than Christians in Indonesia’s justice system.

“In reality, Muslims feel they are oppressed in our justice system,” Thalib expressed. “This is why it is easy for them to fall to Jemaah Islamiyah and believe in their ideology, but unfortunately, they are misled.”

But this summer, Muslim convicts received reduced sentences to mark Indonesia’s independence day.

Sentence reductions by up to five months were granted to 10 Islamic militants involved in the 2002 and 2005 Bali bombings.

Families of the more than 200 victims wondered why the terrorists’ sentences were cut when they had only been given 8 to 18 years in the first place.

As for Sustin and Neki, they were overjoyed when they recently learned that their brother Edwin was spared from the death penalty. A court sentenced him to 14 years in prison instead.

God responded to their prayers.

Now they say they want their brother to respond to God.

“We hope that through this case, our brother and all 17 of them will know God more,” Sustin and Neki shared. “We hope they will repent and ask forgiveness from God.”

With Edwin and companions getting a fairly favorable decision from the court, Indonesians, both Christians and Muslims, are hoping to see a more balanced and credible justice system in Indonesia in the coming days.

Malaysia Shari’ah Court Rejects Woman’s Conversion to Christianity

Malaysia rejects conversion appeal

By  Claudia Theophilus

Public talks on religion have ceased amid simmering tensions between Muslims and rights groups [EPA]

Malaysia’s highest civil court has dismissed a Muslim woman’s appeal to be officially recognized as having converted to Christianity. In a defining decision for the multi-religious society, the court ruled against Lina Joy’s appeal to have her new faith reflected on her identity card, a move rights groups called a “backward step” for Malaysia.

The court had to decide whether the National Registration Department (NRD) was right to require Joy to seek a sharia court’s permission to renounce her faith before she could have the word “Islam” removed from her identity card, and whether the civil or sharia courts had jurisdiction in the matter.

Joy’s argument was that the sharia court, a parallel legal system governing Muslims on property and family matters, had no jurisdiction over her since she had renounced Islam. She argued that she had the right to profess the faith of her choice under the federal constitution. Malaysian law defines ethnic Malays as Muslims and few cases seeking legal recognition of conversions have been successful.

The Most Depraved Jihad Video Yet

Both LGF and I felt physically ill after watching this. Don’t click through if you don’t think you can handle it; LiveLeak has a censored clip of the ~12-year old boy seen in a newly released jihad video butchering a helpless captive: 12 year old boy beheads man (Censored Version).

The actual beheading is not shown in this clip, but it’s still one of the worst things I’ve ever seen.

Sudden Jihad Syndrome

Posted by thebosun on February 16, 2007

In regards to the latest homicidal maniac attack on unsuspecting Americans, Sulejman Talovic’s aunt, discounted theories he may have had lingering psychological effects from the war in Bosnia, telling the Salt Lake Tribune: “We all suffered things in war, but, no, we didn’t have anything.”

Recent examples of what Middle East scholar Daniel Pipes has termed “Sudden Jihad Syndrome” include Naveed Afzal Haq of Pasco, Wash., who broke through security at the Jewish Federation Center in Seattle last July and announced to staff members: “I’m a Muslim American; I’m angry at Israel.” The 30-year-old immediately began shooting randomly, killing a woman and wounding five others. An FBI spokesman called it a case of a “lone individual acting out his antagonism. … There’s nothing to indicate that it’s terrorism-related.”

Last March, 22-year-old Iranian student Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar went on a driving rampage on the campus of the University of North Carolina, injuring nine people. As Islam scholar Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch, notes, the Iranian said in a court appearance he was “thankful for the opportunity to spread the will of Allah.” He also wrote letters to newspapers presenting Quranic justification for his attacks, but officials ruled out terrorism.

In October 2005, 21-year-old student Joel Hinrichs blew himself up outside the University of Oklahoma’s football stadium where 84,000 were watching a game. Police insisted it was merely a suicide, but investigators found “Islamic Jihad” material in his apartment, and he reportedly attended a nearby mosque – the same one attended by Zacharias Moussaoui, the only person charged in connection with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In January 2004, after apparently undergoing a religious awakening, a Saudi Arabian student in Houston killed his Jewish friend by slashing his throat. Mohammed Ali Alayed, 23, pleaded guilty to the Aug. 6 attack on Ariel Sellouk, also 23, who almost was decapitated with a knife. Houston police said no clear motive had been established, but Alayed went to a local mosque after the slaying.

In a high-profile case, Beltway sniper John Allen Muhammad, a convert to Islam, went on a deadly shooting spree in the Washington, D.C., area in October 2002.

Source: World Net Daily: Terrorism not ruled out in Salt Lake case Investigators pursue Islam angle despite publicly declaring ‘no evidence’

Are these fellows weak in the brain mentally ill maniacs or is there another pattern emerging regarding that Muslim on Christian violence in America. I sure would not want to say that it is organized or orchestrated by the religion of peace. But, one has to wonder? I have know exceptionally nice Muslims who would not think of harming anyone. But, there appears to be a mentally ill undercurrent similar to or own Aryan Nation, Christian Identity Movement radicals. I should hope that we get to the bottom of this Sudden Jihad Syndrome and eliminate it from the American culture.

Mary BulleChristian family ambushed in Nigeria

Mary Bulle

Davou Bulle, his wife, and their 10 children each climbed into the van, exhausted from another full day of work on their family’s farm. He started to pull away but was soon jarred to attention by the sound of gunshots hitting the tires. They were being ambushed because of his faith!

The Islamic Muslim radical attackers soon aimed their weapons at the driver, in hopes to first kill the Christian “infidel” then kill his entire family. In an attempt to protect his father son Gyan lunged at the bullets to shield him but the bullets found their way to their intended target, killing Davou. Gyan trying to help his father took 14 bullets during the ambush. Davou’s wife Mary was hit in the eye during the attack.

Mary was taken into surgery immediately. She lost one of her eyes as a result of the attack. Son Gyan was also operated on removing all 14 bullets from his body miraculously he survived! Davou left behind a wife and 10 children.

More than 10,000 Christians have been killed since 1999 in Nigeria and nearly 1,000 homes and churches have been burned down by Islamic Muslim radicals-all because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) has opened up a center in Jos, Nigeria for the purpose of helping Christian widows and children who have lost their husbands at the hands of Islamic Muslim fanatics learn trades and continue on their lives.

Imam leads Dems in prayer of conversion

Posted by thebosun on February 8, 2007

With heads bowed reverently, Democrats were led in prayer February 2nd by a Muslim imam who essentially asked Allah to assist in converting the party members to Islam, according to a scholar and author.  You will have to read the article at World Net Daily for the scope:
Imam leads Democrats

Who would have thought!  The Imam lead in a prayer taken from the opening verses of the Qur’an.  Here is Sura 1:1 – 7:

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful.

Bismillāhir rahmānir rahīm

Praise be to God, the Lord of the Universe.

Al hamdu lillāhi rabbil ‘ālamīn

The most gracious, the most merciful.

Ar rahmānir rahīm

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Māliki yawmid dīn

You alone we worship. You alone we ask for help.

Iyyāka na’budu wa iyyāka nasta’īn

Guide us on the straight path;

Ihdinās sirāt al mustaqīm

The path of those whom You have blessed, not of those who have earned your anger, nor of those who went astray.

Sirātal ladhīna an’amta ‘alayhim ghayril maghdūbi ‘alayhim walād dāālīn

(Qur’an Sura 1:1 – 7)

Islam is based on the concept of “tawhid,” or unity of god.  The god if Islam is an absolute god. Mohammed required submission and obedience to Allah. Anything less is unacceptable in Islam.  Mohammed provided the path to Islam must be accomplished through the “five pillars of Islam:”

  • testimony of faith (kalima);
  • prayer (salat);
  • fasting (sawm);
  • almsgiving (zakat); and,
  • pilgrimage (hajj).

Each Muslim is expected to propagate Islam.  So, one should not be surprised when one asks an Imam to say a few words that the Imam will  pray for the Kafirs’ (unbelievers) conversion.  It is their duty to request for others to propagate to their faith.

Respectfully, Bosun
