Portents of A Nuclear Al-Qaeda

Rolf Mowatt-Larssen is paid to think about the unthinkable. As the Energy Department‘s director of intelligence, he’s responsible for gathering information about the threat that a terrorist group will attack America with a nuclear weapon.

With his shock of white hair and piercing eyes, Mowatt-Larssen looks like a man who has seen a ghost. And when you listen to a version of the briefing he has been giving recently to President Bush and other top officials, you begin to understand why. He is convinced that al-Qaeda is trying to acquire a nuclear bomb that will leave the ultimate terrorist signature — a mushroom cloud.

We’ve all had enough fear-mongering to last a lifetime. Indeed, we have become so frightened of terrorism since Sept. 11, 2001, that we have begun doing the terrorists’ job for them by undermining the legal framework of our democracy. And truly, I wish I could dismiss Mowatt-Larssen’s analysis as the work of an overwrought former CIA officer with too many years in the trenches.

But it’s worth listening to his warnings — not because they induce more numbing paralysis but because they might stir sensible people to take actions that could detect and stop an attack. That’s why his boss, Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, is encouraging him to speak out. Mowatt-Larssen doesn’t want to anguish later that he didn’t sound the alarm in time.

Mowatt-Larssen has been gathering this evidence since a few weeks after Sept. 11, when then-CIA Director George Tenet asked him to create a new branch on weapons of mass destruction in the agency’s counterterrorism center. He helped Tenet prepare the chapter on al-Qaeda’s nuclear efforts that appears in Tenet’s memoir, ” At the Center of the Storm.” Now that the uproar over Tenet’s mistaken “slam dunk” assessment of the Iraqi threat has died down, it’s worth rereading this account. It provides a chilling, public record of al-Qaeda’s nuclear ambitions.

Mowatt-Larssen argues that for nearly a decade before Sept. 11, al-Qaeda was seeking to acquire weapons of mass destruction. As early as 1993, Osama bin Laden offered $1.5 million to buy uranium for a nuclear device, according to testimony presented in federal court in February 2001. When the al-Qaeda leader was asked in 1998 if he had nuclear or chemical weapons, he responded: “Acquiring weapons for the defense of Muslims is a religious duty. If I have indeed acquired these weapons, then I thank God for enabling me to do so.”

Even as al-Qaeda was preparing to fly its airplane bombs into buildings, the group was also trying to acquire nuclear and biological capabilities. In August 2001, bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, met around a campfire with Pakistani scientists from a group called Umma Tameer-E-Nau to discuss how al-Qaeda could build a nuclear device. Al-Qaeda also had an aggressive anthrax program that was discovered in December 2001 after bin Laden was driven from his haven in Afghanistan.

Al-Qaeda proclaimed a religious rationale to justify the WMD attacks it was planning. In June 2002, a Kuwaiti-born cleric named Suleiman Abu Ghaith posted a statement on the Internet saying that “al-Qaeda has the right to kill 4 million Americans” in retaliation for U.S. attacks against Muslims. And in May 2003, at the same time Saudi operatives of al-Qaeda were trying to buy three Russian nuclear bombs, a cleric named Nasir al-Fahd issued a fatwa titled “A Treatise on the Legal Status of Using Weapons of Mass Destruction Against Infidels.” Interrogations of al-Qaeda operatives confirmed that the planning was serious. Al-Qaeda didn’t yet have the materials for a WMD attack, but it wanted them.

Most chilling of all was Zawahiri’s decision in March 2003 to cancel a cyanide attack in the New York subway system. He told the plotters to stand down because “we have something better in mind.” What did that mean? More than four years later, we still don’t know.

After 2004, the WMD trail went cold, according to Mowatt-Larssen. Many intelligence analysts have concluded that al-Qaeda doesn’t have nuclear capability today. Mowatt-Larssen argues that a more honest answer is: We don’t know.

So what to do about this spectral danger? The first requirement, says Mowatt-Larssen, is to try to visualize it. What would it take for al-Qaeda to build a bomb? How would it assemble the pieces? How would the United States and its allies deploy their intelligence assets so that they could detect a plot before it was carried out? How would we reinvent intelligence itself to avert this ultimate catastrophe?

A terrorist nuclear attack, as Tenet wrote in his book, would change history. If we can see how this story might end, perhaps we can deflect the arrow before it hits its target.

Why is the United States ignoring terrorist activity in Venezuela?

Posted by thebosun on September 23, 2007

19 September 2007

On 11 September 2001, on the executive floor of a major Venezuelan bank located on Margarita Island in the Caribbean, eyewitnesses reported that the champagne was flowing freely. Why? Because of the terrorist attacks on the World-Trade Centre and Pentagon that day. The bankers, who were engaged in funneling cash to known terrorist groups in the Middle East, were morbidly toasting the “success” of Al-Qaeda on that deadly day. The bank’s overt actions, supporting terrorist organisations through financing their activities, has never resulted in either OFAC sanctions, or any other punitive action from the United States. Why is America reluctant to confront Hamas, Hizballah, ETA and their financiers in the Western Hemisphere? Is it as Allan Greenspan states, all about oil? Is the US afraid that the Chavez government will turn off the petrol tap?

Let us  examine what else has been studiously ignored by the US government since 2001:

  • Al-Qaeda theoretician Mustaphah Setmarian Nasar (UID 45641) lived openly in Venezuela whilst he was wanted by Interpol. Believed to be the intellectual author of the Madrid Train bombings, and holding both Syrian and Spanish citizenship, Nasar was escorted daily to Caracas’ principal mosque by armed government bodyguards driving black Hummers. He was seen in Margarita Island, and also at a port facility where freighters bearing Panamanian registry ship out for Iran regularly. Were they transporting Uranium for Iran’s nuclear programme? We cannot say, but Nasar has been linked to Carlos Rafael Lanz Rodriguez [UID 248222] , the ex-career terrorist* is currently the president of Venezuela’s state-owned national aluminium company, Alcasa, which is believed by mining engineers to be mining and trafficking in Uranium.
  • The emergence of Hamas and Hizballah operatives in the Western Hemisphere. They are raising money through drug trafficking, arms sales, human smuggling, and sundry other illicit activities, all of which eventually results in the shipment of the proceeds of these crimes to their Middle Eastern commanders.
  • The wholesale issuance of Venezuelan identity documents (Cedulas and Venezuelan passports) to Arab radicals who are allowed to enter the country. the Venezuelan Consulate in Maicao, Colombia has reportedly performing these services  for large numbers of people in transit from the Middle East to parts unknown. The next time you meet a Venezuelan who doesn’t speak Spanish, you may have seen a terrorist in the flesh.
  • ETA terrorists wanted in Spain have found safe harbour in Venezuela, who actually pays them $600 per week in living expenses. They do not earn this stipend in any way, it is paid purely to sustain them whilst they live freely in the country. Spain this week announced its intention to hunt down these terrorists.
  • Venezuela has long served as both a jumping-off point for terrorists entering the United States, and a refuge for terrorist suspects fleeing this country after having aroused law enforcement interest. This includes persons of interest to the FBI, who are believed to be connected with the World Trade Centre bombing.
  • Hizballah continues to work openly in the country, through its local affiliate, Hizballah Venezuela.

Kenneth Rijock can give many other examples, but the above should be sufficient to show clearly that the US obsession with the conflict in Iraq has caused America to totally ignore terrorist threats much closer to home. These are clear and present dangers that need attention, lest they mature into actual terrorist operations within the United States.

Why does Kenneth Rijock get the feeling that nobody’s paying attention in Washington?  Perhaps it is because there has not been a significant arrest of an important terrorist agent by the United States in all of Latin America in the last six years.  We hope that the present administration will now be shamed into finally assuming a  proactive role in countering the growth of terrorism in Latin America.

Remembering September 11, 2001

Watch The Video

From a different view.

This home video of the 9/11 terror attack on the World Trade Center is from a 36th floor apartment near the North Tower. The events of 9/11 are familiar to all of us. Perhaps so much so that over time we have become desensitized to the actual events. What is absolutely chilling, is how the video captures the personal experience of the couple taking the video. It is their comments, telephone calls, shock and anguish that brings back a flood of emotions from that day. It was released last year on the 6th anniversary of 9/11.

Bin Laden set to release another (NEW) video

Posted by thebosun on September 10, 2007

Courtesy of Drudge Report

As al Qaeda chatter picks up just before the 6th anniversary of 9/11, AP is reporting this morning that Bin Laden is set to release another video. Apparently, Bin Laden will be presenting the last testament of one of the Sept. 11 homicide hijackers on the new video set for release today.

If you recall that last week, Bin Laden tried to justify the 9/11 attacks, which, he claimed, “further harmed America’s reputation and its prestige worldwide…” Bin Laden mocked the Democrats for failing to stop the war in Iraq and called for the Michael Moore crowd to step up their anti war rhetoric, “Now that your representatives in the Democratic party failed to fulfill your desire to stop the war, you can keep marching in the streets of big [U.S.] cities holding up anti-war signs……”

Bin Laden appeared to be issuing a warning (da’wa) to the infidels of America and the west to convert to Islam or perish, “The biggest and most irreversible error one can commit in this world is to die without surrendering oneself to Allah, namely, to die without embracing Islam……”

The Sahih Muslim Hadith, [Book 019, Number 4294] indicates that a Muslim da’wa is required before an all out onslaught with the infidel western enemies.

Is an attack imminent? Only the radical Islamists know for sure. We should be prepared to unite against them and drive them from the face of the earth. My message for the liberal crowd is that you don’t know what you are up against.

Be ever vigilant.

Osama Bin Laden’s Video Message to the American

On September 8, 2007 the Islamist forum http://al-ekhlaas.org, hosted by Layered Technologies, Inc. in Texas, USA, posted a video message from Osama bin Laden to the American people titled “The Solution.”
The following are excerpts.

Bin Laden opens his message by discussing the effect of the 9/11 attacks, which, he claims, “further harmed America’s reputation and its prestige worldwide…” He goes on to characterize U.S. policies throughout history, and more recently in Iraq, as morally reprehensible. For example, he presents Bush’s claim that the U.S. is “cooperating with Al-Maliki’s government in order to spread freedom in Iraq” as an attempt to cover up Bush’s “true intentions,” which are “to work with leaders of one sect in Iraq against another sect” in hope that this will turn the war in his favor, while in fact this policy has precipitated a civil war “which [Bush] can no longer control.” Thus, bin Laden claims that while the U.S. “proclaim[ed] the slogans of justice, freedom, equality, and humaneness,” in reality its policies yielded “fear, destruction, killing, famine, illness, and vagrancy.” As a result of this war, he continues, “there are more than one million orphans in Baghdad alone, and hundreds of thousands of widows… The American’s [own] statistics… [reveal] that more than 650,000 people have been killed in Iraq as a result of the war and its consequences.”

Bin Laden then points out that the Democrats have so far failed to stop the war in Iraq, despite winning the congressional elections. He interprets this as an indication that wealthy individuals still dominate policy decisions, and says to the Americans, “Now that your representatives in the Democratic party failed to fulfill your desire to stop the war, you can keep marching in the streets of big [U.S.] cities holding up anti-war signs,” but this will be to no avail.

Bin Laden then adds that “there are [nevertheless] two [ways] to bring [the war] to an end. The first… is for us to continue killing and fighting you with ever increasing intensity [until we defeat you]… The second is… [for you] to liberate yourselves from the deception and restrictions… inflicted upon you by the capitalistic system… in the same way you liberated yourselves from the monks and kings that once enslaved you, and from feudalism.” The goal of the capitalist system, he warns, is to turn the entire world into a fief controlled by large corporations…”

As an alternative to the capitalist system, bin Laden offers Islam. He calls upon the Americans to embrace Islam, saying: “The biggest and most irreversible error one can commit in this world is to die without surrendering oneself to Allah, namely, to die without embracing Islam.” He warns that, once the owners of the major corporations realize that the Americans people have lost confidence in the democratic system and have started searching for an alternative, i.e., Islam, “they will run after you to please you and fulfill your every desire, in order to turn you away from Islam.” He therefore advices the Americans not to waver in their pursuit of Islam, since the benefits they will receive by embracing it are numerous, including a significant reduction in taxes, since Islam does not impose taxes beyond the mandatory 2.5% Zakat (i.e., alms) tax.

——————————————-

Goose Creek Terror Suspect – A Family In Despair

The Tampa Tribune attempts to tug at the heart-strings of it’s readers with this story that focuses on the family of one of the Goose Creek terror suspects. The real story however; is that the case against these two continues to build. That’s a story worth covering.  Youssef Megahed’s reaction was shock, and then despair, his family said. Sitting in solitary confinement, he’s terrified of the warnings FBI agents have given him and his family – that he’ll be held interminably in a military prison like Guantanamo Bay.  Mohamed, 24, fears he will be imprisoned longer than his father will be alive

New Jersey FBI Director Warns Of Homegrown Terror Threat

New Jersey’s new FBI director warned Friday the homegrown terror threat is an ongoing concern and that his agents are currently tracking numerous extremists in the tri-state area who are potential security threats. “There are individuals that we are very concerned about that are engaged in activities that are criminal and potentially threaten the homeland,” said Weysan Dun, Newark’s FBI Director. “We are very aggressively working to monitor these individuals to develop the intelligence and certainly when we can develop a prosecutable case to take effective law enforcement action.”

Report – Pentagon Plans For Three Day Blitz On Iran

The Pentagon has drawn up plans for massive airstrikes against 1,200 targets in Iran, designed to annihilate the Iranians’ military capability in three days, according to a national security expert.

Alexis Debat, director of terrorism and national security at the Nixon Center, said last week that US military planners were not preparing for “pinprick strikes” against Iran’s nuclear facilities. “They’re about taking out the entire Iranian military,” he said.

Toronto Canada – Letter Bomb Mystery Deepens – Suspect Arrested

Adel Mohamed Arnaout, suspected of sending three of the letter bombs under arrest.

A gutted red bungalow known by neighbors as the “Bombay Bunker” was the focus of an intensive police search overnight by bomb squad investigators probing a string of attempted letter bombings here and in Guelph.

Police, who have one man under arrest, are investigating the manufacture of at least six explosive devices – three sent to unwitting recipients here and in Guelph

The discovery of the bombs in the car led to a day of high drama in a city unused to bomb threats. Officers, unable to safely disassemble the devices, decided to explode them on the remote Leslie St. Spit, and shut down the Don Valley Parkway’s southbound lanes.

Terror Comes To Mexico

Officials say more than 10,000 people were evacuated from Mexico’s Torre Mayor, Latin America’s tallest tower, after a bomb scare involving a suspicious vehicle parked in front.

Police were tipped off by an anonymous caller who said an explosive was inside a lot.

Britain – Terror Plot To Poison Water Supplies Revealed

A terrorist threat to poison water supplies led to a big security alert at reservoirs and treatment works across Britain, it was claimed yesterday.

Water companies were allegedly ordered last summer to increase their security to prevent contamination of the supply. A publicity blackout was enforced to avoid causing panic.

Details emerged this week when Northumbrian Water executives gave evidence to an employment tribunal in Newcastle upon Tyne. They cited the emergency as a reason for dismissing an employee who had not responded adequately to an intruder alarm at works near Wooler in September. Michael Baker, the company’s network control leader, said: “What made this incident far more serious was the heightened security alert over an undisclosed and direct threat to contaminate water supplies.

FBI Needs More Time In JFK Terror Plot Case

Federal prosecutors said Friday it will take about two or three months for them to review classified documents and decide whether they believe the documents can be disclosed in the case of Kennedy Airport terror suspect Russell DeFreitas.

After a hearing in Brooklyn federal court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Marshall Miller said that he told Judge Dora Irizarry that his office is reviewing materials under the provisions of a special law governing use of classified materials in criminal trials. It would be up to Irizarry to eventually decide how any such documents should be disclosed in the case, he said.

Under the Classified Information Procedures Act, courts control the disclosure of sensitive materials for use in criminal cases and may order that summaries of the documents be used instead or that defendants not disclose the materials.

——————————————-

Goose Creek Suspects Indicted – One Facing Terrorism Charge

Two Egyptian students at the University of South Florida who were arrested in South Carolina have been indicted on federal charges by a grand jury in Tampa for carrying explosives across states lines without permits.

One of the men also is charged with teaching the other how to use the material for violent reasons.

Twenty-four-year-old Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives. In an official release from the Department of Justice, they said Mohamed “taught and demonstrated the making and use of an explosive and destructive device, with the intent that such information be used for an activity that constitutes a federal crime of violence.”

Goose Creek Suspect Has Terror Past in Egypt

Two Egyptian students enrolled at the University of South Florida have been indicted for carrying explosive materials across states lines. One of the defendants also is charged with teaching the other how to use them for violent reasons.

Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, an engineering graduate student and teaching assistant at the Tampa-based university, faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.

Website Based In Minnesota Posts How To Join al Qaeda Info

On August 26, Islamist websites hosted in Minnesota posted an item titled “How to Join Al-Qaeda.” Among other items the website teaches how to join al-Qaeda, form a jihad cell, and select a western target. It is not clear when the item was written; it was produced by the website Al-Thabitoun ‘Ala Al-’Ahd, which is affiliated with Al-Qaeda in Egypt and is currently inactive.

The item calls on every Muslim to regard jihad as a personal duty and to take initiative to establish a jihad cell without waiting for recognition from Al-Qaeda. It goes on to elaborate on how to form and run the cell, how to raise funds, and how to select a target, “for example, assassinating the American ambassador,” which, it states, “takes no more than a gun and a bullet.”

The following are excerpts from the item:

“You feel that you want to carry a weapon, fight, and kill the occupiers, and that it is our duty to call for jihad as much as to call for prayer… All that is required is a firm personal decision to fulfill this obligation, and participation in jihad and the resistance…

If you want to come here, we welcome you with open arms. Just abide by our laws. Don’t snub your nose at our laws, take advantage of our opportunities, and then cling to the constitution. Help me say it loud and clear, “Hell no! You can’t have our country.”

This country is not for sale. I should know. I’m one of the owners. You can’t sell it without my permission.

Aztlán: Paving the way to with propaganda, politics, racism

Paving the way to Aztlán with propaganda, politics, racism

By Linda Bentley, Reporter, Sonoran News

AZTLÁN – What was and where was Aztlán? The Arizona Republic fielded a similar question under their Science Q & A.

Dan Kincaid responded: “Aztlán was the legendary original home of the Aztec Indians … Aztlán, which means literally ‘Place of the Herons’ in their Náhuatl language …” Kincaid goes on to say “… the Aztecs believed their Ancestors migrated in stages from Aztlán, reaching central Mexico about A.D. 1200. An Aztec subgroup, the Tenochas founded their capital, Tenochtitlán, in 1325 on an island in Lake Texcoco after seeing an eagle perched on a cactus and devouring a rattlesnake.”

The New York University Press states: “Aztlán was the mythical place of origin in some Aztec traditions, a lake with an island in the middle that was replicated when the wandering Mexica settled at Tenochtitlan. The word Aztec is derived from this mythical place.” Another University in Buffalo, New York claims, “Aztlán is the Aztec name for their ancestral place of origin located, according to an old legend, somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean,” citing that it corresponds geographically to Atlantis, as described in Plato’s works, “Critias” and “Timaeus.”
Teachings of MEChA “… the brutal ‘gringo’ invasion of our territories.” However, in a Hispanic Studies textbook, “The Mexican American Heritage” by East Los Angeles high school teacher Carlos Jimenez, Aztlán is depicted on page 84 in a redrawn map of Mexico and the United States, showing Mexico with one third more territory.

On page 107, Jimenez states, “Latinos are now realizing that the powers to control Aztlán may once again be in their hands.” The textbook teaches highschool students that Mexico is supposed to regain the states of Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington and that they rightly belong to the “mythical” homeland of Aztlán.
The book contains no references or footnotes and teaches separatism, victimization and nationalism, while promoting an open border policy.

The myth of Aztlán is heavily promoted through MEChA club meetings at college campuses across the nation, rapidly gaining acceptance at high school campuses as well.

MEChA stands for Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlán. Their logo depicts an eagle holding a stick of dynamite.

The preamble of MEChA’s National Constitution states: “Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlán must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community, politicizing our Raza with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for selfdetermination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán.” The University of Arizona MEChA Chapter’s website states: “The following documents are essential to the philosophy of MEChA. Every Mechista should be familiar with them. Listed along with their National Constitution is ‘El Plan de Santa Barbara’ and El Plan Espiritual de Aztlán, which opens with, ‘In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal “gringo” invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlán from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny.

‘We are free and sovereign to determine those tasks which are justly called for by our house, our land, the sweat of our brows, and by our hearts.

Aztlán belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans.

We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continents.’
Preaching prejudice, racism, hatred and anti-Semitism La Voz de Aztlán is a bilingual online news service published from Los Angeles (Whittier), “Alta California” that claims to be “focused on news events that are relevant to La Raza in Aztlán, Mexico and beyond.” They say that they also publish their own “unique analysis of world events and contemporary issues through editorials, commentary and political cartoons.” Publisher Hector Carreon and Editor-in-Chief Ernesto Cienfuegos definitely have a unique spin on events and issues.

It is commonly known as racism and anti-Semitism.

One of Cienfuegos’ editorials is titled: “The ‘Kosher Nostra Scam’ on the American Consumer.” Cienfuegos said of their research, “What we found certainly was ‘news’ to us and it both shocked and angered us.” After becoming educated in the various kosher symbols on food packaging, Cienfuegos made the statement, “I learned that major food companies throughout America actually pay a Jewish Tax amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars per year in order to receive protection.

The scam is to coerce the companies to pay up or suffer consequences of a Jewish boycott.” He concludes with, “… I demand my money back for all I had to pay over the years for the hidden and illegal Jewish Tax. Are there any bright attorneys out there that could bring a class action suit against the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations on behalf of the citizens of Aztlán and other non-Jewish people?” Carreon wrote an editorial called: “Shattered Identities: ‘Malinchismo’ as a Dissociative Identity Disorder Caused by Ritual Racial Abuse.” He says, “To understand how these personality types may come about, we can refer to recent history involving the Jews during their traumatic ‘Nazi Holocaust Period!’ The German Jews had their own ‘Vendidos’ and ‘House Niggers’ called ‘Judenrat’ and ‘Kapos.’” Carreon says that what they all have in common is that they have all identified with the dominant oppressors. According to Carreon, the beginnings of the micro-traumas and ritual racial abuse start in kindergarten when little Juanita is told by her “gringa” teacher not to speak Spanish. At lunch she becomes the victim of ridicule by her “gringo” peers when she has a burrito for lunch instead of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

He claims Juanita grows up with “dismal self-esteem” and “self-hate” that could sentence her to life of gangbanging and drugs. But then, he says Juanita can alternatively take on different personality direction, caused by the micro-traumas and ritual racial abuse, one that causes her to dissociate her identity as Juanita. She might develop such a shame that she changes her name to Jane, bleaches her hair blond and starts to take on characteristics of “Anglos.” Carreon says this is “merely a nuisance but can become dangerous to our community when ‘Anglos’ start using these personality types against us.” He then states, “Like the ‘Judenrat’ in Nazi Germany, these ‘Malinchistas’ will be utilized against us in political campaigns like the present one against Bilingual Education.” La Voz creates anti-Semitic correlations from ordinary news in article upon article.

Their agenda promotes racism against all white people, especially Jews, and portrays all Hispanics as victims.

“… designed to create cultural havoc” Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) Superintendent George F. Garcia’s promotion of outcome-based education and special treatment toward Hispanic children did not sit well with a group of TUSD parents.

They formed Arizona Parents for Traditional Education and petitioned Garcia and the governing board to return “back to the basics” education to TUSD, citing, “We do not want to replicate California’s eight year mass experimentation and failure with outcomebased education.”

One parent, John Stevenson, wrote an open letter to Garcia, responding to a frontpage article in the Tucson Citizen where Garcia called for special classes and special help for Hispanic students.

Stevenson said, “Under the constitution of the United States it is incumbent on all government agencies to treat all citizens equally. It is unconstitutional for any government agency in the US to single out any racial group for special favors, nor should they single out any other racial group to suffer as a result.

This action is blatant racial bigotry.” Stevenson continued, “In addition to racial bigotry, Mr.

Garcia, you foster cultural terrorism. When you allow special consideration based on race, it builds lifetime resentment in the others. You, in effect, teach the others to hate those who you make privileged.

“When you teach a selected race that it requires your special help, you also teach them that they are either genetically or culturally inadequate.

You try to modify that by teaching them that the only reason they need this help is because the white community abuses them.” Stevenson said Garcia’s actions could be “construed as fraudulent and perhaps even traitorous” as his acceptance of the public’s money, earmarked “to prepare children for their adult place in society,” is, instead, being used by Garcia to bring about ideological change, using children to promote his vision of a socialist society.

“… one must suspect that this is a deliberate process.

One designed to create cultural havoc,” Stevenson wrote.

He ended his letter “Please, sir, I beg you, resign from your job immediately and save the community from further damage.” That was back in August 1996. Garcia didn’t resign. It wasn’t until four years later that Garcia left.

Still posted as one of the goals of the TUSD Hispanic Studies curriculum: “Establish and nurture educational and community partnerships by taking an active role in advocating for Hispanic concerns and issues.”

Once a patriotic organization that emphasized the importance of citizenship, the League of United Latin American Citizens now supports the theory that Hispanics have been victimized by white people, and are staunch proponents of illegal immigration.

Political influencing

State Representative John A. Loredo, Dem. District 22, who was first elected in 1996, then re-elected in 1998 and 2000, attended Phoenix College, where he first became involved in politics.

He was elected president of MEChA and he was the first President-Founding Member of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) Young Adult Council.

He worked with Cesar Chavez organizing marches, rallies and boycotts. His first political campaign was the “NO on 106 (English Only)” committee.

He served on an Ad Hoc Committee on Border Issues and on the Farmworker Affordable Housing Study Committee. He served on the Executive Board for the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and as a board member of Friendly House, one of the four nonprofit organizations that was chosen to run the Palomino Day Worker Center in Phoenix.

Another organization that runs the day laborer center is Tonatierra. Tonatierra Community Development Institute proclaims its location as Nelhuayotl, Aztlán, although they use a Phoenix PO Box for their mail.

Day workers are “forced to stand on street corners and suffer the scorn of a society which utilizes them to clean their houses.”

Tonatierra’s coordinator, Salvador Reza, was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. His family moved to Ysleta, Texas when his father, a farm worker, was granted a work permit under the bracero program.

Reza sees himself as a victim of racism, stemming back to his days in kindergarten.

After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, Reza began working for immigrant advocacy groups.

He says he came to Phoenix because he believes it is the center of Aztlán, the original land of the Aztecs before they migrated south to Mexico. Of all the stories about where Aztlán might have been, Reza is the only one who believes its center is in Phoenix.

Reza, one of the major lobbyists for the Palomino Day Worker Center in Phoenix, was quoted in an interview as saying that jornaleros, or day workers, are “forced to stand on street corners and suffer the scorn of a society which utilizes them to clean their houses.” One of Tonatierra’s initiatives was the Macehualli Project, to organize the hundreds of day laborers in Phoenix.

Reza believes the Macehualli Union de Jornaleros (Day Laborers Union) will achieve justice and dignity through the establishment of day labor centers.

Tonatierra and Reza’s goals go far beyond the day laborer centers he wishes to create throughout the city. He is pushing for increased Latino political representation and expanding the Xinachtil Program (Xinachtil means “seed” in the Aztec language) in the public school system to teach “traditions, culture, art and science of indigenous people.” Immigrant advocacy groups no longer promote legal immigration, citizenship, learning English or any other assimilation into this country. Hispanicrights groups talk of reoccupation and repatriation of the southwestern United States, the land of “indigenous people.”

Demographic warfare … exporting Mexico’s surplus poverty In Tucson, Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia, cochair of Derechos Humanos (Human Rights), promotes open borders and illegal immigration, proclaiming: “No human is illegal.” She denounces the same laws she is hired to uphold, and does so on taxpayer’s money.

The Pima County Board of Supervisors claim Garcia can do whatever she likes during her own time.

Garcia, along with co-chair Jose Lerma, have recently been selected to serve on a 100-member council created by Mexico’s government to represent Mexicans living in the United States. Their main duty is to advise the Mexican government on the needs of the approximately 9-10 million Mexican natives residing in this country … about half legally and half illegally.

The concept of reoccupation is not new. The term was used in an official study done by the Mexican Government’s National Council on Population (Conapo).

Conapo’s study predicts that during Mexican President Vicente Fox’s six year term, ending in 2006, that two million Mexicans will enter the United States at the approximate rate of 380,000 per year.

The study also indicates that the Mexican government has embraced the concept of “demographic warfare,” a reconquering of the southwestern United States through unchecked illegal immigration and by exporting its “surplus poverty” to regain control.

Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska was quoted in Mexico’s EWE news service as having said, “Mexico is at the moment recovering territories it lost in the past to the United States thanks to emigration (sic). The common people – the poor, the dirty, the lice ridden, the cockroaches are advancing on the United States, a country that needs to speak Spanish because it has 33.5 million Hispanics who are imposing their culture.” Mexican columnist Carlos Loret de Mola explained Mexico’s “demographic warfare” strategy in Mexico’s newspaper, the Excelsior, over 20 years ago.

Loret’s article, “The Great Invasion: Mexico Recovers on its Own,” described the strategy: “A peaceful mass of people … carries out slowly and patiently an unstoppable invasion, the most important in human history. You cannot give me a similar example of such a large migration wave by an ant-like multitude, stubborn, unarmed, and carried on in the face of the most powerful and best-armed nation on earth … [Neither] barbed-wire fences, nor aggressive border guards, nor campaigns, nor laws, nor police raids against the undocumented, have stopped this movement of the masses that is unprecedented in any part of the world.” Loret describes a migrant invasion that continues and that will return the southwestern states to the jurisdiction of Mexico, “… without the firing of a single shot, nor requiring the least diplomatic action, by means of a steady, spontaneous, and uninterrupted occupation.” The effects of what Loret said then where already apparent in Los Angeles, which he called “the second largest Mexican city in the world.” MEChA promotes an ultimate ideology to liberate Aztlán. Four of the main Hispanic pressure groups, LULAC, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the National Council of La Raza (La Raza) and MEChA, are united in their main objectives. They promote an agenda of racial and ethnic consciousness.

They all want more immigration of their own people into the United States. They want to stop deportation of illegal aliens and want to provide American citizen’s rights, including the right to vote, to non-citizens. They promote Spanish as the official language in areas dominated by Hispanics. They believe that Americans must assimilate to Hispanic culture and language.

They believe this is already their land and have no need to become citizens, learn English or assimilate in any way. By proclaiming the southwestern United States, Aztlán, they believe all those of Hispanic decent are already citizens.

It appears that anyone who disagrees with that agenda is considered a racist. Author Michelle Malkin, who is of Filipino decent, disagrees … she too has been branded a racist.

Mexican, white, non-white depends where benefits are

In the 1950s, the LULAC recognized English as the official language of the United States, emphasized the importance of citizenship, supported immigration control and mass deportation of illegal aliens.

They even began all of their meetings reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Salvador Reza of Tonatierra, who considers himself a victim of racism from events that occurred in kindergarten, became an advocate for illegal immigrants after graduating from college.

Today, the LULAC supports the theory Hispanics are victimized by white people.
“Mexicans” were counted separately, for the first time, during the 1930 Census. Because Texas was segregated, Mexicans felt they were losing their status as non-white and might face the same conditions as blacks.

The LULAC succeeded a few years later in having Mexicans recognized as “whites” again, and treated that way for segregation purposes.

Then, 40 years later, after affirmative action programs become introduced for blacks, the LULAC and La Raza lobbied successfully to be recognized as “non-whites” so that Mexicans would be recognized for racial preference purposes.

They ebbed and flowed with identity, insisting they were white when there were advantages to being white. When benefits associated with being non-white surfaced, it was time to change color again.

In a letter to the editor (published in the March 12 edition of Sonoran News), LULAC President Samuel Esquivel wrote, “You are what I would characterize as a ‘true racist.'” Esquivel also stated, “I hear the complaining about illegal immigrants being the cause of all these bad things, but I don’t hear nobody complaining about their lawns not being cut, their houses not being cleaned, dishes not being washed in restaurants, cars not being washed, houses not being built, etc. The bottom line is, if it were not for these so called illegal immigrants, who people like you take advantage of, you would not be living in the lap of luxury, as you are accustomed to living.” Esquivel claims that any suggestion about upholding laws of this nation is just a means of hiding racist behavior.

Another letter, printed in the same edition, came from John Garrido, Chairman of the National Hispanic Coalition, in the process of forming. He states, “Long ago salsa replaced ketchup as America’s number one condiment. As ketchup went by the wayside, those that attempt to diminish the values Hispanic Americans hold sacred will some day also go by the wayside.” Cutbacks in illegal alien benefits “a disgrace to American values” The Ford Foundation alone has poured millions of dollars in funding into organizations like La Raza and MALDEF.

And while MALDEF’s Mario Obledo stated, “California is going to be a Hispanic state.

Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave,” President Clinton awarded Obledo the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1998.

Immigrant rights organizations continue to lobby for special treatment toward Hispanics – bilingual education, affirmative action, mass immigration and more hate crime laws.

La Raza claims immigration control violates civil rights and that cutbacks in welfare and other benefits for illegal aliens is “a disgrace to American values.” The United States Government apparently believes, somehow, that “regularizing” illegal aliens from Mexico will get one party or the other elected, depending on who grants the “regularizing.” They are most likely mistaken.

These groups claim to hate Americans and all that is American. However, they keep coming … coming to reclaim Aztlán.

And, government officials seem to be paving their way with benefits, amnesty and “rights,” at citizens’ expense.

Will Hezhollah strike the US of A?

Posted by thebosun on August 24, 2007

Back in 2006, I asked the question; Will Hezbollah strike in the US??

According to a Reuters report dated July 18th 2006, Iran’s Hezbollah party, which has claimed links to Hezbollah in Lebanese, promised that it stood ready to attack Israeli and U.S. interests worldwide.  At about the same time, also reported by Reuters, the FBI was busy trying to ferret out possible Hezbollah agents in the United States amid concerns that rising U.S.-Iranian tensions at the time might trigger attacks on American soil.

In 2006, while the American public was busy going to malls, movies, and other wholesome activities, our  law enforcement officials were concerned the Lebanon-based Hezbollah, which has so far focused on fund-raising and other support activities inside the United States, might turn to violence in solidarity with Iran.

Much to my supprise, a name resurfaced 2006 in our news media but did not get much press attention: Imad Fayez Mugniyah (one of the leaders of Hezbollah security organization).  The lame stream press seems to have a very short memory and did not connect the name with the man.

Mugniyah has been active on the terrorism circuit for over 20 years.

According to Laura Mansfield, ( http://www.lauramansfield.com/j/default.asp ) there appears to be striking similarities between Mugniyah’s brand of terrorism for the past 20 years and the practices of the present-day terrorists in Iraq.

Mugniyah allegedly has been tied to kidnappings and bombings throughout the world over the past two decades.  Please note that Mugniyah was also linked to terrorism in South America in 1992 and 1994.

▪ April 18, 1983 bombing of the United States embassy in Beirut, which killed 63 people including 17 Americans

▪ October 23, 1983 simultaneous truck bombings against the French paratroopers and US Marine killing 58 French soldiers and 241 Marines.

▪ September 20, 1984, he attacked the US embassy annex building.

▪ Linked to the numerous kidnappings of Westerners in Beirut through the 1980s – some were killed, some by beheading, and a few were eventually released

▪ March 17, 1992 bombings of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires Argentina, which killed 29

▪ July 1994 bombing of the AMIA cultural building in in Buenos Aires Argentina, killing 86 people

▪ Orchestrated the 2000 abductions of three Israeli soldiers in the southern part of Lebanon

▪ Abduction of Israeli Colonel Elchanan Tenenbaum. Source: Laura Mansfield

In 2002, Jeffrey Goldberg, reporter-at-large for The New Yorker magazine did an interesting 2- part article, “IN THE PARTY OF GOD” that included Hezbollah operations in South America and the United States:

Here is an excerpt from Part 2 of Goldberg’s article:

“Roughly two hundred thousand people live in the Ciudad del Este region, including a substantial minority of Arab Muslims; in the Triple Frontier zone, there may be as many as thirty thousand. According to intelligence officials in the region and in Washington, this Muslim community has in its midst a hard core of terrorists, many of them associated with Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite group backed by the Iranian government; some with Hamas, the Palestinian fundamentalist group; and some with Al Qaeda. It is, over all, a community under the influence of extreme Islamic beliefs; intelligence officials told me that some of the Triple Frontier Arabs held celebrations on September 11th of last year and also on the anniversary this year. These officials said that Hezbollah runs weekend training camps on farms cut out of the rain forest of the Triple Frontier. In at least one of these camps, in the remote jungle terrain near Foz do Iguaçu, young adults get weapons training and children are indoctrinated in Hezbollah ideology—a mixture of anti-American and anti-Jewish views inspired by Ayatollah Khomeini.

In the Triple Frontier, Hezbollah raises money from legitimate businesses but, more frequently, from illicit activities, ranging from drug smuggling to the pirating of compact disks. Unlike the other radical Islamic groups in the Triple Frontier, Hezbollah, it is said, has the capability to commit acts of terror.”

Part 2 of the series takes place in South America, not, the Middle East. It seems to me that the Atlantic Ocean offers little protection from the spread of terrorism as we witnessed first hand on September 11, 2001, in New York City.

We have been very lucky for the past six years.  However, the powder keg of the middle east and the hate of the Islamic Jihadi may have broader ramifications. Does Hezbollah have the ability to strike here?  Will it striker here?

Be ever vigilant.

REPUBLICANS CAST ASIDE VOTERS- PANDER TO LA RAZA

Since when did Arizona become a state full of liberal mouthpiece Republicans-in-name-only politicians?

We have already established a long time ago that California is FULL of malcontent hippie elected officials…

But who ever thought that a conservative, Western state would be the leader of the selling-out of our nation?

Three of the bill’s architects are from this desert state: Senator and Presidential candidate John McCain, Senator Jon Kyl, and Congressman Jeff Flake.

These men take groups like La Raza seriously. So much so that they invited this radical group– along with other illegal alien groups– into bill negotiations.

Imagine that… these guys, including our own senators, will take La Raza seriously… but not you.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

If he pulls his support for the bill over a “killer” amendment, Jon Kyl said, he will be accused of succumbing to right-wing threats, and he is not sure he can persuade enough colleagues to bolt with him. HMMM… “RIGHT-WING THREATS.” DO YOU, MR. TED KENNEDY MOUTHPIECE, NOT MEAN YOUR OWN REPUBLICAN CONSTITUENCY?

Hmmm… Why don’t you call him? give Jon Kyl a piece of your mind… Remind him that he represents the AMERICAN people- NOT the people of every other country BUT America

TUCSON: Phone: (520) 575-8633, Fax: (520) 797-3232

Or drop him an email at info@kyl.senate.gov.

Then, you have John McCain: “the President knows about immigration, he spent eight years as governor of Texas,” McCain told the AP. “The Republican Party must address this issue, [regarding immigration] if, in my part of the country, we expect to attract Hispanic voters.”

SO THERE IT IS. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT ANYMORE. THIS IS NOT ABOUT BORDER SECURITY. THIS IS NOT ABOUT SECURING AMERICAN JOBS FOR LEGAL AMERICANS. THIS IS ABOUT PANDERING TO A PARTICULAR RACE FOR THEIR VOTES.

OUTRAGOUS. MCAMNESTY IS JUST MENTALLY OFF THE RESERVATION.

Here are some more things that will set your hair on fire… Most of this is McCain… (Click here to listen to the audio.)

McCain didn’t just shoot his campaign in the foot… he shot it in the stomach. Call him and let him know it.

“You just have to recognize you will get 300 calls, you’ll get conflicts at town hall meetings — all of them negative,” said Rep. Jeff Flake. “The last few days have really turned things around.”

Hmmm… Why don’t you call him as well? Give Jeff Flake a piece of your mind… Tell him his sell-out bill hasn’t exactly been forgotten!!

DEBATE BEGINS AGAIN TODAY…

There are 30 amendments ready to be discussed– part of these amendments are being pushed by La Raza. Keep on piling on the phone calls.

THESE POLITICIANS SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN THIS COUNTRY INTO THE GROUND!!

But this is what America gets… for taking its eye off the ball. For not caring to vote… for not caring to partake in their civil duties… and for not speaking out earlier.

“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” …why does this no longer exist in the hearts of Americans?
